Free on City Day

Deputy Mayor Istvan Puskas announced at a press conference at the Deri Museum that Debrecen's cultural institutions will reopen.

Due to the energy saving measures, the deadline for the changes that came into effect in November last year was April 15, but the general assembly decided to cancel them as early as April 11, Debrecen City Day.

From April 11, 2023, the Deri Museum and the Ferenc Medgyessy Memorial Exhibition will therefore operate again according to the usual opening hours, from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

In honor of City Day, all museum units can be visited free of charge on April 11. In addition, an interesting program awaits those interested. Starting at 2 p.m. on that day, the public can familiarize themselves with the characteristic objects of the renewed permanent exhibition entitled World of Civic.

The Tisza exhibition, located at 1 Kossuth street, will continue to follow unusual opening hours for an indefinite period: from Tuesday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
